10 YEARS!! (I forgot the camera)

So November 10 was our 10 year Anniversary. We decided this year to go easy and cheap so we went to Mesquite for three nights. We had a lot of fun. We stayed up until 2am and slept until 11 everyday. The weather was so nice, we went swimming and wore shorts and capris.(HA HA you guys were getting snow) We became BINGO stars with all the old farts. We ate at the YUMMY Buffets. It was a nice relaxing time and it was nice to have some peace and quiet to ourselves.
It has been the best 10 years of my life. Michael is so good to me, he is my best friend. I want him to know that I Love him with all my heart and I would be lost without him. Thank you Baby for the last 10 years and so many more to come.

Time For Thanks

I love this time of year for one reason it is a time that I love to reflect on all my many blessings and Give Thanks. When my grandma was alive I remember siting at the table on Thanksgiving day and before we could eat we all had to say what we were thankful for. I love that tradition it is funny how our blessings change as we get older.

I am so thankful for a loving husband that supports me in all that I do. He is truely my best friend. He helps me so much and I know that I take him for granted sometimes. I am so excited to be able to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary this month and I am so thankful for the wonderful years that they have been. I know that we have an eternity still and I am so excited for what the future will bring.

I am thankful for my three wonderful boys that have been given to me by Heavenly Father. He must trust me a great deal to send me these special spirits. I love each one of them so much.

I am thankful for the gospel in my life, I would be so lost without it. Heavenly Fathers plan is so incredible. I love living in this ward and I am so thankful for the many ward members that give service and love.

I am thankful for my family. My parents and sister for their support and love. I am also thankful for my Aunts and Uncles and all that they do for my family. Thank you.

I am thankful for my In-laws and all Michael's family. They are such a big support to us and we love each one of them.

This is the season for Giving Thanks and I hope everyone can think about what they are Thankful for.

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween. Our good friends Scott & Jill and their girls Abby & Anna were in town from California. We met up with them during the day at Fat Cats. We had a lot of fun. We took the kids to eat at the Pizza Factory and then we let them all play in the arcade. They rode the bumper cars and had a blast. We miss you guys hopefully we will see you this summer. Scott our prayers will be with you as you leave for Iraq in February.
Then it was night time so the boys got ready to go Trick or Treating, they had so much fun. I took them around our neighborhood for a little while and then we headed to Grandma Clough's. We had our own little Halloween Party there. Everyone was there and we had chili and donuts. All the grandkids then went Trick or Treating around her house. They all had fun and by the end of the night they were tired.
It was a fun Halloween!!!

How to get KIDS to CLEAN

We bought the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday and ever since we bought it Garrett and Alex have been asking to watch it. They were told that we would watch it on Sunday night as a family because there was some parts in it that we needed to be there with them for. So anyways it was getting around to the time to watch the movie and Michael told them that we would watch it if they went downstairs and cleaned up the family room. Now Garrett and Alex never clean up anything, we have never seen them move so fast and vacuum so fast. We were upstairs laughing just watching them. Needless to say the family room got cleaned up and we all watched Indiana Jones (except I fell asleep, not my kind of movie).

Potty Time

Jex is such a crack up. He comes walking out of the bathroom today with his potty chair on is head. As you can see he is laughing so hard that the potty seat is falling off his head. He likes to wear the potty chair more than he likes to use it, we hope one day he will be potty trained.

"I want Some"

I was making homemade brownies the other day and Jex was downstairs watching TV. He must have heard the Kitchen Aid going because all of a sudden he was up stairs tugging at my pant legs saying "I want Some" I told him that they had to cook and that he could have a brownie when they are done. Next thing I know he is putting his little fingers in the pan of brownie batter and is begging for the spatula that I used to scoop it out with. This is the first time that Jex has every had an intrest in licking the spoon or wanting to taste the batter.

Crazy Sock Day

So a few weeks ago it was Red Ribbon Week at School. Each day they had to do different things and one of the days was Crazy Sock Day. I am such a mean Mom and I made Garrett and Alex wear some of my socks to school they were not as excited as I was. When they got home from school I asked them if anyone said anything about the socks and other kids actually thought that they were COOL!!

Michael's Graduation

He did it!! Michael graduated from the Leadership Development Training. Hill Air Force Base has a partnership with Weber State that offers college courses for Supervisors. He attended classes at Weber State and also on the base. We attended a graduation ceremony that was very nice. The Commander of the 309th Fighter Wing, the President of Weber State, the President of the Ogden Air Logistic Center where all there conducting the graduation. He recieved a certificate from Weber State and also from the base. It was neat, when we came out to leave a C-130 had just taken off and flew by us. The Air Force is such an elite part of our Military, it is fun to be a part of it in a little way.

"The Toothless Wonder"

They are gone!! Garrett is now the "Toothless Wonder" he has lost his two front teeth. He is so cute without them. We are now singing the song "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth". It is fun seeing our kids grow up and experience things that we did when we were their age.

Family Trip to LAGOON

So we finally got the whole family to Lagoon. We have been trying to get my sister to bring her kids and let them ride with their cousins, and it finally happened. The kids had a blast and got to ride all the rides that they wanted to. Of course I forgot to take pictures of everything so there are not a lot here. We all had fun and hopefully we can do it again next year.

Hospital Stay

Alex decided that he wanted to miss a week of school and get sick and spend two nights in the hospital. He started out with just a bad asthma attack and then it turned ugly. We took him up to the doctor and she said that he had signs of Rhino virus so we took him home and doubled his asthma medications. He was doing awesome and then he hit rock bottom and was up every two hours needing a breathing treatment. We took him back up and she admitted him. He ended up having Rhino virus and then Phnemona. His oxygen level dropped and it was crazy. As you can see from the pictures he had a good time, he wanted to stay at the hospital for six more nights. Michael and I were very ready to come home and sleep in our own bed. He is now back to school and all is good.

Labor Day

So for Labor Day we decided that we would take the boys and get away for the night and go to Coalville and stay at the Best Western. Michael's brother Chad lives in Coalville so we thought it would be fun to be with them and hang out. When we got up there we found out that they all were sick and couldn't come hang out. We had a lot of fun, the pool is open all night so we let the boys swim and get really tired. As you can see they love to swim. It was very relaxing and lots of fun.

Grandpa & Grandma's House

So we went over to Grandpa & Grandma Kays a while back and watched Michael's 91 year old Grandma while they went to a dinner party. While we were there they had cookies and milk. We always enjoy going over to Grandpa & Grandma's they always have something YUMMY to eat!!

Computer Problems

So we had to take our laptop into Best Buy a few weeks ago to get fixed. The CD/DVD drive wouldn't open, so to get it open we yanked it open and it came out but the whole thing came out so it was really broken. Luckily they covered it with the warranty so now our computer is back. I have a ton of Blogging to do so bare with me because there has been so much going on in the Kay House.

Bathtime with Jex

Jex was taking a bath the other day and I walked out of the room for a minute and came back in and this is what I found. He had dumped out all the toys and was sitting in the crate that holds the toys. He loves to bath, he would take more than one a day if we would let him. He is so funny and clever.

I have been Tagged

I have officially been tagged by Monica!
These are the rules - post these rules on your blog. List: 3 Joys, 3 Fears, 3 Goals, 3 Current obsessions/collections, 3 Facts about yourself. Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog. So here are mine:

Joys:
Michael is my first Joy, he brings joy into my life everyday. He is truly a wonderful husband and father. He does so much for me, if I didn't have him I would go crazy. I know I take him for granted some days but I Love you Michael with all my heart. Thank you for being my eternal companion.

My Boys are my second Joy, they are such strong spirits. Garrett is always so thoughtful when it comes to mom. Alex is always the helper when I need anything. Jex is my little LOVE BUG, he is always full of squeezes and kisses. My life would not be the same if I didn't have my boys. I Love You Boys!

My Family would have to be my third Joy. Without my parents and in laws and aunts and uncles I don't know where I would be. I have had wonderful influences in my life that have given me great Joy. My grandparents were such loving and caring people that showed the true love of Christ in all they did and to me they bring me Joy. Thank you to my family, Love You!

Fears:
Snakes
Spiders
Heights

Goals:
I am striving to not yell at my kids as much and to not get upset with them so easy, I find that they just do things for attention and me getting upset does not help. So that is a big goal that I need to work on.

As a couple we are trying to be Debt Free, we have a ways to go but we will eventually make it there.

I have a personal goal that I would love to start attending the temple more regularly, it has been hard with Michael going to school but he is done at the end of September so we will be able to enjoy going back to the temple.

Current Obsessions/Collections:
Since the Olympics started I have been glued to the TV watching them. We have an Awesome Team USA.

I have taken up reading more lately, I have read several series and I am now starting the Twilight series.

I found a website on the Internet called POGO.com and I have been going on there and playing all sorts of games, it is addicting.

Facts:
My favorite color is purple and I love it so much that we have had a purple bathroom before and I saved all the stuff from that bathroom and when our basement is finished the bathroom down there will be PURPLE.

I turned the big 30 this year and I feel so old. I have nieces and nephews that are graduated from High School and attending college and I have one that is married. I run into Young Women that I use to be there leader and they are married and have families now. I AM OLD!!!

I am the Queen of our house. I am the only female in the whole house. When I want something I normally get it, I am spoiled by Michael and always have been.

I Tag: Jen, Ali, Meghan

Thank you Monica this has been fun and I hope everyone else enjoys it.

Crazy Summer

So it has already been a crazy summer, but we are loving every minute of it. Garrett & Alex are enjoying their play time with their friends. They have ran through the sprinklers everyday for the past week it seems. Jex is loving the warmth and loves to be outside. Michael started back to school today, so he is very busy with homework. He will graduate from the Leadership Development courses in October. We both will be very glad to have that over with. I am just enjoying the summer and having fun with the kids. We started a little garden this year and it is doing very well, so that has been fun. We hope to get at least one camping trip in and go to Lagoon a few more times. Hopefully the weather will stay where it is at and not get any hotter or we may all MELT!!

Survivor Challenge

Every year in West Point they have a Survivor Challenge and you have to apply and are chosen to praticipate. This year we convinced Michael to apply and he was one of sixteen chosen. He had to eat gross things and had to swim with balloons in his shirt and also do the Tug Of War across Horse poop, along with other things. It is just like "Survivor" you are voted off by your tribe. He was the seventh to be voted off, so he stayed in for half the competition. He had a fun time and won a cooler and some cold drinks to go with it. We all loved cheering him on. It was kind of hard to get pictures of all of it so here are just a few. Good Job Michael!!

What a Wonderful 4th of July

We enjoyed our 4th of July!! We had so much fun going to the parade. The kids love to see their cousins. I have gone to the Clearfield Parade every year since I could remember. I remember riding on the Fire Truck with Grandpa Schofield and throwing candy. We always try to make the 4th of July a fun day by eating lots of yummy food and playing fun silly games. This year was kind of crazy with Michael running early in the morning and then doing the Survivor Challenge. The kids had a blast and that is all that matters.

West Point 5k

Michael ran in the West Point 5k race with some of our friends. He ran the 3 miles in 28 minutes. Way to go Michael!!!
