Bowling!!

We went bowling at Sparetime in Syracuse for the first time tonight.  It is a really nice bowling alley.  We had a lot of fun as you can see.  The boys all love to bowl and they get really excited when we go.  Michael won the first game and Rachel won the second game.  The boys can bowl pretty good and wasn't to far behind us.  It was a fun family night.

Garrett & Alex had their parade on Thursday also.  It was fun to go and see all the cute and creative costumes.

Jex's Pre-school Halloween Parade

On Thursday Jex had a little Halloween Parade at Pre-School. The kids were so cute. He loves Pre-School and enjoys his teacher Mrs. Amy. Rachel volunteers in his class on Tuesdays and she has enjoyed getting to know each of the kids.

They made these costumes at School and they had a fun filled day that

was all about BUGS!!  Alex is a Pray Mantis and Garrett is a Bee.

First Day of School

Today was Jex's first day of Pre-school.  He was very excited to go this morning.  He is in the morning class and he goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  It was nice to have some free time this morning, I was able to get the house picked up and take a breathe before I picked him up.  He enjoyed school today and when I asked how it was he sad "GOOD" 

Kay Family Sleepover

Over Labor day we went to Michael's parents and had a BIG Sleepover. Everyone came except two of his sisters families which live away from here. We all brought our tents and set them up and had a bonfire and a BBQ. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins all night. It was fun to get together and visit with each other. Thank you Grandpa & Grandma Kay for having all of us over!!!

Catch Up

I am playing catch up..hopefully now I can stay on top of it. I have not had time to blog with it being a busy summer but now that summer is over I am all game for blogging now!!

First Day of School

Garrett & Alex started 2nd grade on Monday. They were so excited for school to start. They have been placed into a 2nd/3rd grade split class. They have 3rd graders in there class and will be learning on an advanced level. They are very excited to be in a class with 3rd graders. They have Mrs Markham and they are already loving her.

Stake Lagoon Day!!

Rachel took the boys and went to Lagoon with a couple of our neighbors. Michael and their husbands were gone to Youth Confrence. So it was a Mom and Kids day at Lagoon! We had an eventful day: Alex got stung by a bee in the eyelid, Alex and his friend Daxton took off and got lost from the rest of us. Those are just a couple of things that happened but all in all it was a fun day!! (sorry not very many pics my camera died)

The Kay Aquatic Center

During the summer the kids and their friends were HOT so they wanted to run through the sprinklers and play in the pool. This is what they came up with. They had 3 pools and 2 slides and they turned the trampoline into a splash pad by putting the sprinkler under it. They had so much fun!!

Dinosaur Park!!

During the summer we had a family party at the Dinosaur Park. We were celebrating Michael's Uncle Scotts 60th Birthday. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed playing with our cousins. Uncle Scott had some friends that cooked us all an awesome dutch oven dinner. We love the Dinosaur Park!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEX!!!

Jex turned 4 on June 16. He has grown up so much and is doing so well. He loves the movie "Cars" so he picked out the cupcake cake and of course that is what he picked. He had a fun time at his party and thank you to everyone that came and celebrated his birthday with us.

Bees Game

Over the summer we went to a Bees Baseball Game with Rachels sister and her kids. The kids had a great time. It started to rain after the first inning so they covered the field and we waited for the rain to stop so they could play again. It was a lot of fun, we wished we could have gone more during the summer but with Rachel working nights it is kind of hard.

First Grade Luau

Garrett and Alex had a Luau at school on Friday. They had each kid bring some type of fruit and they had mothers come and cut up all the fruit and serve it to them on plates. They set up the room like they were eating on the ground sitting indian style. They had made grass skirts and lais and fire sticks. It was so much fun. They had also made volcanos which they set off later in the day. They taught them a dance and they performed that. It was very well done. We are very sad to see the school year end. Mrs. Baer has been an Awesome teacher and has truely been a fun teacher for the twins. They are very good readers and we have her to thank for that.

SORRY!!

I have been so bad lately at blogging. I have started to get on Facebook and I just forget to upload my pictures and blog. So sorry here are a couple of blogs I had to go all the way back to Easter. Sorry it is a lot.

Fishing at the Trout Farm

We took the boys fishing at the Trout Farm today. It was a lot of fun. They were so cute and enjoyed it. Jex was so funny everytime we caught a fish he would laugh and say OOH NASTY GROSS. Michael chased him with one of the fish and he was squelling like a girl and crying MOMMY! We had the fish skinned and fillet and Michael cooked them up tonight and the boys ate every piece of it.

Pre-school Graduation

Jex graduated from his first year of Pre-school. He has loved school so much. He has made friends with everyone in his class. He is very fond of one girl more than the rest her name is Sophie. Sophie and Jex have a lot in common they are the same age and they are both very petite. Jex is always talking about Sophie..he can't say Sophie so he calls her Feefee. As you can see from the pictures they are dancing together which was so cute. It will be a very long summer..Jex looks forward to school everyday. When school starts back up he will be in the same class as Sophie and for that he will be excited.

Bowling

We went Bowling as a family to the bowling alley up on the base. It was a fun the boys had a blast. Jex got injured, he was to inpatient and picked up a heavy ball and his thumb got stuck between the ball and the floor. He cried for a few seconds and then he was fine.
